Volunteer & Internship Opportunities
“Volunteering at Daybreak Arts lets me see artists grow and know I’m part of their journey.”
— Daybreak Arts Volunteer
Become a Daybreak Arts Volunteer
Our volunteers help us keep our programs running and allow us to make a big impact with a small staff. Whether you’re welcoming guests at exhibitions, assisting in the studio, or cataloging artwork, your presence helps create a space of belonging, encouragement, and connection for our artists.
Volunteers help artists trust their talent again, celebrate milestones, and feel the joy of being seen and supported. At Daybreak Arts, you become a part of an artist’s story, showing them that someone believes in their gifts, their dreams, and the bright future they are creating.
Daybreak offers several types of virtual and in-person opportunities to get involved. To get started, please complete the Volunteer Application below, and our Volunteer Coordinator, Lauren, we will follow-up with you to discuss next steps. Email the volunteer@daybreakarts.org with any questions.

Volunteer Positions
-
Art Education volunteers play a vital role in supporting our artists’ growth. They might serve on our Art Education Committee, lead group workshops, or work one-on-one with artists in the studio, helping them develop skills, confidence, and creative expression.
-
Event Sales Team volunteers are critical in providing our artists an opportunity to gain exposure, connections, and sales by transporting, setting up, and selling our artists work at festival and market vendor booths around town.
-
Our Artwork Sales Team supports our organization’s efforts to document, organize, and maintain accurate records of artworks in our collection. This work ensures that all items are properly catalogued, cared for, and accessible for exhibitions, research, and archival purposes.
-
Social Media volunteers help amplify the voices and work of our artists. By creating compelling posts, graphics, and stories for our online platforms, they raise awareness of our mission and help increase artwork sales and revenue, using both existing and new content.
-
Studio & Office volunteers help with hands-on and virtual administrative tasks. This volunteer position is ongoing with work scheduled as needed.
-
Delivery volunteers help ensure our artists have the resources they need by transporting artwork, payments, and supplies between artists’ homes and the Daybreak Arts Studio. This role, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, also helps increase accessibility and support for our artists.
-
Daybreak Arts Interns gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a social enterprise non-profit, as well as make connections with Nashville homeless and arts organizations.
