Volunteer & Internship Opportunities

“I’ve been around unhoused people when serving them food and talking to them, but I’ve never had an experience like this where I get to see their talents.”

— Daybreak Arts Volunteer

Art Education

Art Education volunteers help in a myriad of ways including serving on our Art Education committee, teaching a group workshop to our artists, or working one-on-one with an artist in our studio.

Delivery

Delivery volunteers are responsible for transporting payments, artwork, and various supplies to and from Artist’s homes / place of habitation and the Daybreak Arts Studio. This position was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we hope it will increase accessibility for our artists.

Event Sales Team

Event Sales Team volunteers are critical in providing our artists an opportunity to gain exposure, connections, and sales by transporting, setting up, and selling our artists work at festival and market vendor booths around town. Read more about the position HERE.

Studio & Office

Studio & Office volunteers help with hands-on and virtual administrative tasks. This volunteer position is ongoing with work scheduled as needed.

Social Media

Social media volunteers help our artists and organization raise awareness and increase sales and revenue by developing compelling content for online platforms utilizing pre-existing and new visual and written collateral material.

Internships

Daybreak Arts Interns gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a social enterprise non-profit, as well as make connections with Nashville homeless and arts organizations.

“Being on disability, I have a very limited income. Being able to make a little bit of extra money, even if it’s $25, $50 or a $100 a month, that can sometimes be food the last week of the month that I might not normally have. When a piece sells, I often have just enough to do little bit extra. It’s life altering.”
