THE 100-DAY PROJECT ART SHOW
ft. works by Amanda Mazzo and POVA Artist

Saturday, October 23rd from 4:00 - 7:00 PM
at Main Street Gallery (Bricks, 625 Main St, Nashville, TN 37206)

A group exhibition featuring the works of artist Amanda Mazzo and a selection of responsive works by POVA artists.

We are so thankful that Amanda Mazzo, Creative Director and COO of long-time POVA supporter Mazzo Media, invited our artists to show works alongside her collection of pieces created throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amanda generously donated 100% of purchases, donations, and proceeds to Poverty and the Arts which helped us raise $2,500 for our programming! Additionally, all POVA artwork were available for sale to directly support the exhibiting artists.

When describing her collection, Amanda shared: “The idea of The 100-Day Project is simple: choose a creative project, do it every day for 100 days, and share your process. Since I struggled to gain any control over real life in 2020, I began creating alternate realities through digital collage, digital painting, and illustration. This featured collection is a variety of brain-child prints – some abstract themes of actual life events and weird mashups, while others are simply creations that I wish had more representation in my world. Through this show, I wish everyone the boldness to defy reality and create the life you've always imagined (even just on paper or canvas).

Participating POVA artists who shared works in response to Amanda’s collection are A.M. HASSAN, BANDY (@bandyartist), Clinecasso (@papa.smurf.davidc.clinecasso), Daniel Holmes, Ellie Kane (@mama.smurf.elliek.loveartist), Kateri (@kateri_fulks), and Thaddaeus Tekell. Amanda and these POVA artists will be displaying works in a variety of mediums including prints, notecards, mixed media, and painting

Visitors to the exhibition enjoyed music, beverages, and treats by S'more Love Bakery food truck.
