2022 Gordon Jewish Community Center Sukkot Festival

We’re proud of our artists who contributed to this year’s collaborative piece for Nashville Gordon Jewish Community Center’s Under One Roof Exhibition! Our piece will be on display Oct 9-18, with a closing reception on Oct 16 from 2-4 PM.

In response to this year’s “Kehillah” theme and Daybreak Arts’ similar values of Community Power and Community Care, five Daybreak Arts artists contributed to this collaborative piece. Four artists contributed their artistic responses, which you see in the diverse horizontal strips, and the fifth artist (Edwin Lockridge) seamlessly connected them with his unique sewing and mixed media techniques. Viewers are encouraged to photograph the piece with flash photography to enjoy Lockridge’s innovative use of reflective material. Daybreak Arts is proud to present this piece which encompasses our belief that through common purpose we will build a more resilient community.

Participating artists: A.M. HASSAN, Amanda Harrod, Daniel Holmes, Edwin Lockridge, Sam Fulks
